Mission

The AAABC is a non-profit advertising industry association dedicated to improving the long term health of its members, to improving the quality of advertising in BC, to heighten the overall awareness and profile of the advertising industry in the Vancouver business community, to support and train young people interested in advertising as a career.

Message from the AAABC President

Advertising is often considered to be the bellweather for the economy at large. Trends, cultural issues, economic vitality: our industry tends to see them first. So if the past few months are any indication, we are all heading into a very exciting time here in British Columbia.

The AAABC’s member agencies are responsible for producing some of Canada’s most successful, recognized and awarded campaigns. Our agencies regularly take home gold at advertising shows around the world, starting with our own Lotus Awards, Western Canada’s most prestigious creative marketing show. Our clients span virtually every product and service category, from regional retailers to national packaged goods.

Since its start in 1975, the AAABC has been dedicated to advancing the quality of advertising and the people who produce it. We work with the Institute of Communications and Advertising to promote educational programs like CAAP (Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional), as well as representing our member’s positions on industry issues like government contract tenders, speculative creative and privacy policy.

Around the world, and here in BC, the nature of communications continues to change rapidly. Our members continue to discover new and innovative ways of breaking through the clutter and delivering positive business results.

We’re proud of the reputation we’ve set as Canada’s most vibrant creative community, and look forward to putting out talents to work for you. If you are interested in becoming a member of the AAABC, please take a moment to browse our site and learn more about us and our member agencies.

On behalf of the best and brightest in the BC advertising industry, thank you for your interest in the AAABC.

Sincerely,

Steve Kennedy
President AAABC
